Article Tips
Article Ideals;
(1) Originality, writing your own work on a topic you know well. This makes the article believable, worth reading by others and informative. It may be surprising to some that the knowledge we each possess is unique to ourselves even though it is taught by others. We all learn in different ways and have a unique way of explaining a topic quite differently from someone else, thus making our explanation original.
(2) Laying your article out as a short story, three to four sentences per paragraph, each paragraph separated by a space, maybe seven or more paragraphs long, about 500 plus words, would make an excellent article. EXAMPLE
(3) Using the above example you would place one, two, or three links in the last five paragraphs with the links being relevant to the article copy. EXAMPLE
(4) Bold the headings. It makes the article stand out more and looks professional. They also allows a reader to go directly to a point in the article that interests them most.
(5) Important; place your full name in the about author/bio box with a link to your site(s). Forget this point will get your article rejected. Seriously that is one place we need to fill out correctly after all that is where people look to find out where to go to read more of your information or look at your site.
(6) Copy and paste your article if you wish but do so in normal view, then html view for your links only otherwise your article will be printed as a block of print, not the most professional look we are after here. What you see in normal view is how the article will look once published. Taking the few minutes here will allow you to present our readers with a professionally finished work.
(7) Do not write in the first person as this reads like a " all about me" type story and these are both self serving and generally offer nothing to our readers. Get the readers to your site with topics that will inform them and be of some use to them.
(8) Spelling is a common problem and we do not correct your spelling so take the time to use your spell checker BEFORE submitting your article for consideration. It smacks of amateurism if an article if full of spelling mistakes.
(9) Do not take article rejections personally, they are about the article not you. Correct the errors and re-submit.
(10) Every member should go to their member page and update their information there. Shortly we will be showcasing members on our front page. This will be only available to those members with a complete member page. Next time you log on get this done first.
Finally, the power we all have at our fingertips can put one to sleep out of boredom or take another on a journey they will never forget. Writing is our most basic form of communication if we wish to reach more than the ones we talk to.
